German-Israeli Youth Exchange Lab 2022
Vom 9. bis zum 13. Mai fand der erste Teil des Youth Exchange Labs mit 35 jungen Menschen aus Deutschland und Israel statt. An vier Tagen entwickelten die Teilnehmenden in bilateralen Gruppen ihre Ideen für die Zukunft des deutsch-israelischen Jugendaustausches im Rahmen gemeinsamer Projektvorhaben. Die sieben Projektteams haben die Themen Jugendkultur, Nachhaltigkeit, gesellschaftliche Diversität, soziale Gerechtigkeit, soziales Engagement, Geschlechteridentitäten sowie gemeinsame Erinnerungskultur aufgegriffen und im Rahmen konkreter Projektvorschläge bearbeitet.
Das German-Israeli Youth Exchange Lab 2022 lädt junge Menschen mit Erfahrung im deutsch-israelischen Austausch zu einem zweiteiligen Workshop in Israel und Deutschland ein, der sie dazu befähigen soll, eigenständig deutsch-israelische Austauschprojekte zu entwickeln. Das bilaterale Team von Austausch-Expert*innen begleitet und berät sie zu Fragen der Planung, Förderung und Koordination ihrer Austauschprojekte. Im Rahmen der generationenübergreifenden Austauschkonferenz in Berlin werden die Teilnehmende ihre Projekte erfahrenen Fachkräften vorstellen und diese letztlich mit Hilfe der Träger umsetzen.
Inhaltliche Impulse für die Arbeit in den Projektteams erhielten die Teilnehmenden durch Vorträge von Expert*innen aus dem Kreis der israelischen Jugendbewegungen. Hier ging es unter anderem um sozialen Wandel und gelungene Projektplanung. Außerdem besuchte die Gruppe das Moreshet Center for Holocaust Education, die International School in Givat Haviva sowie das Kipod Sustainability Center in Kfar Saba.
Zum Abschluss der Arbeitsphase in Israel präsentierten die Teilnehmenden den aktuellen Stand ihrer Projektplanungen und bereiteten die weiteren Schritte für die Umsetzung der Projekte vor. Der zweite Teil des Youth Exchange Labs wird vom 16. Bis 20. Juni in Berlin stattfinden. Hier soll die konkrete Planung der Projekte aktiv vorangebracht werden. Im Anschluss an die zweite Arbeitsphase werden die Teilnehmenden ihre Projekte auf der generationenübergreifenden Austauschkonferenz Fachkräften der deutsch-israelischen Jugendarbeit vorstellen.

The German-Israeli Youth Exchange Lab 2022 – a Bilateral Workshop for the Development of New Projects has been opened in Israel
From May 9 to 13, the first part of the Youth Exchange Lab took place with 35 young people from Germany and Israel. During four days, the participants developed their ideas for the future of the German-Israeli youth exchange in bilateral groups. The seven project teams addressed the topics of youth culture, sustainability, diversity, social justice, gender identities, social engagement and common culture of remembrance and developed concrete project proposals around them.
The German-Israeli Youth Exchange Lab 2022 invites young people with experience in German-Israeli exchange to a two-part workshop in Israel and Germany, which will enable them to independently develop projects in the field of German-Israeli exchanges. A bilateral team of exchange experts accompanies and advises them on questions of planning, funding and coordination of their projects. At the Intergenerational Exchange Conference in Berlin, the participants will present their projects to experienced professionals from the field and ultimately implement them with the help of the sponsoring organizations.
The participants received impulses for their work in the project teams through lectures by experts from the Israeli youth movements, around the topics of social change and successful project planning. The group also visited the „Moreshet Center for Holocaust Education“, the International School in Givat Haviva and the Kipod Sustainability Center in Kfar Saba.
At the end of the working phase in Israel, the participants presented the current status of their project plans and prepared the next steps for the implementation of the projects. The second part of the Youth Exchange Lab will take place from June 16 to 20 in Berlin. Here, further planning of the projects will be advanced and they will be made ready for presentation. Following the second phase of work, the participants will present their projects to experts in German-Israeli youth work at the Bilateral Intergenerational Exchange Conference.
